![]() I’m just curious what’s causing things to take so long when you had the same developers create cutting edge games in the previous generations and they would do it in 2 to 3 years and those games for those times were cutting edge and looked incredible and had insane detail for their time. So, when it comes to other games that don’t have that same level of detail, what’s causing them to take years and years and years, is it purely the amount of work they have to do on the graphics, and how it looks because realism is causing things to just take longer and longer? I’m not knocking down any games that aren’t as detailed as those rockstar games. The Microsoft Xbox E3 2018 press conference is on June 10 - a full two days before the E3 show kicks off properly. Hope this isn’t derailing, I’m curious what is causing modern AAA games to take so long? For example, I understand when game like red dead redemption 2 or GTA 6 takes six or seven years or more to make, because the amount of detail, and what’s going on in the world is just absolutely insane, like you can open every drawer/closet, go to every house do practically anything and things you don’t even interact with are performing actions like birds in the sky have their own cycles that they go to like diving for fish in the lake and all that stuff. Xbox E3 2018 Briefing (Image: XBOX) After a strong start to E3 2018 courtesy of EA Play yesterday, Microsoft has the challenge of taking up the baton and showing us what it's got today. It just not make any sense to me from rational standpoint, not even 4chan source. The 4chan leaker need to have at least minimum dev process knowledge even if it just theoretical learning. I mean it will be a planning & production disaster class if it's true.Īnd even for Vertical slice you have to have at least enough tech/tools ready to be greenlight, there just no way lol. The only reason could be that they didn't really manage to create tools but imo it's impossible and they probably not be at PG anymore, yeah it will take times but they will do it and if concessions are need to be made (rescope) they will make concessions. (if you take the actual context of PG/T10/ForzaTechTeam) I mean in FH5 you have Fable tech like lighting techniques rendering, Open world rendering stuff, etc. KH3 development begin on old Square PS3/360 engine, it's normal to be transfered to ue4.īut fable, even with little knowledge it's almost impossible that this happen. ![]() We’ll find out for sure during Microsoft’s E3 press conference on June 9 at 1:00 pm PST.Even in recent times which AAA games have engine change near 6 year of dev ? That’s a long wait for a new Fable game, but it makes sense that Microsoft would want to have some exclusive games to announce when launching a new game console. You will see a glimpse of a small teaser trailer most likely at this year's E3 and in 2020 you will see much more of the game." It is a next-gen game ONLY and you will most likely NOT see it until 2021 at retail at the earliest. This game started development in late 2017 and has been in development now for little over 2 years now. “Some speculate it's actually Fable IV, but the reality is that it's a new beginning for the Fable franchise. "I can now confirm that it is indeed a Fable game,” wrote Braldryr. But instead of calling it Fable 4, Braldryr says this new Fable will actually be a series reboot. There are lots of delightful names that appear on this list, but the one that caught our eye was Fable.
